Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Documentation
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for a manufacturing and industrial location in Reading, Pennsylvania. The officer will safeguard the client’s site by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and helping deter security-related incidents. The role also involves communicating professionally with employees and visitors, responding to site needs, and supporting a welcoming environment. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Pay is $14.50 per hour. Candidates must have at least six months of relevant security experience, clearly outlined in their resume and discussed during the interview.
Requirements
- At least six months of security-related experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter boundaries; report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and documenting entries and exits according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
- Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation.
- Help deter unauthorized access, theft, and property damage.
