About The Position

As a full-time Access Control Officer in Brookpark, Ohio, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally, and help deter security-related incidents while following site procedures. The role serves and safeguards clients across a range of industries as part of Allied Universal’s security team. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $14.73 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry and exit of authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles according to site procedures.
Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records and communicate access-related information to appropriate site contacts.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
