About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Spanaway, Washington, you will serve and safeguard clients in manufacturing and industrial settings. You will help manage facility entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible security presence to help deter incidents. The role also involves providing customer service and clear communication to support a welcoming and orderly environment.

The position is full-time, with scheduled hours of 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM Monday through Friday. The pay rate is $23.40 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations, potentially before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the facility, including contractor and delivery check-in processes, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations; document observations and report security-related concerns.
