About The Position

As a Security Officer serving a logistics and distribution location in Groveport, Ohio, you will safeguard clients by managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring activity, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while supporting a welcoming environment. This is a full-time role scheduled Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., at a pay rate of $19.00 per hour. Responsibilities include following site-specific procedures and policies, responding to incidents when appropriate, and keeping site leadership and Allied Universal management informed.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Manage facility access by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, and directing authorized personnel according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
Maintain accurate activity logs and communicate observations, incidents, and access-related information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
