About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Lockbourne, Ohio, you will help safeguard a logistics and distribution location by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and keeping accurate records. You will maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents while delivering customer service and communicating clearly with clients, visitors, drivers, and employees. The role includes access control, vehicle-traffic observation, incident response, and patrols of site areas. The position pays $19.50 per hour and is scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Additional shifts may be available through Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency-response activities as appropriate.
Monitor and control access by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
Observe incoming and outgoing vehicle traffic at entry points, verify delivery and pickup documentation as required, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document activities in accordance with site policies.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
