About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer in Visitor Badge Operations in Columbus, Ohio, you will serve and safeguard clients at a chemical/petrochemical location. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor alarm and badge systems, and help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors. This driving position calls for outstanding customer service, clear communication, and response to security-related concerns. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a license is required for driving positions.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, authorizations, and visitor or contractor documentation before permitting entry to restricted areas.
Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery records according to site-specific access-control requirements.
Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized entry and identify security concerns.
