About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to conduct visitor screening at a healthcare location in Greensboro, North Carolina. The role welcomes patients, visitors, and staff; supports access screening; and provides customer service in a caring healthcare environment. The officer uses a computer or tablet to document information, communicates with staff and guests, and helps maintain an orderly environment. The listed schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. Pay is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Screen people entering designated areas according to site protocols and clearly communicate entry requirements.
Watch for prohibited items, unauthorized access attempts, or unusual activity and report concerns to appropriate site personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow established procedures, and request assistance when needed.
Maintain accurate screening-related documentation and communicate relevant information to supervisors or designated healthcare personnel.
