About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for visitor screening at an assigned food and beverage manufacturing site in Jackson, Ohio. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may offer the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week, while retaining the option to scale back. The pay rate is $16.45 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM.

The officer will provide customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, including access control, visitor screening, patrols, and incident response. Applicants must meet the stated age and education requirements and are subject to employment-related background and drug screening, as permitted by law.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers at a food and beverage manufacturing location while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access and visitor records.
• Help deter unauthorized access to production, warehouse, shipping, receiving, and other restricted areas by observing entry activity and reporting suspicious conditions.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow site protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and access points; observe and report hazards, damaged barriers, and other security concerns.
