About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Route-Driver in Las Vegas, Nevada. The position provides a designated weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that fixed shift. The employee may also claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, offering flexibility to increase hours up to 40 hours per week or scale back as needed. The role is based at a healthcare location and includes security, customer service, patrol, access monitoring, incident response, and documentation duties. The advertised pay rate is $18.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Thursday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

• Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, or a baton.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management by directing individuals to appropriate areas and reporting suspicious activity or access concerns.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
