About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for an assigned manufacturing and industrial site in West Point, Virginia. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts can increase working hours up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position pays $16.00 per hour and is scheduled for daytime work on Mondays from 5:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

The officer provides customer service and carries out access-control procedures, site policies, and emergency-response activities. Duties include monitoring and controlling facility access, checking credentials, maintaining logs, conducting patrols, and responding to alarms and incidents.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency-response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and issue authorized access badges or passes.
• Help deter unauthorized entry.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access, including inspecting incoming and outgoing traffic according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
• Document observations and security-related activities.
