About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer for a part-time enhanced position in Bluffton, South Carolina. The position provides consistent hours at an assigned site through designated weekly anchor shifts, with a six-month commitment to the assignment. The officer may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, potentially building up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responds calmly to incidents and critical situations, and conducts regular and random patrols. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and take part in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
