About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Console Patrol in Richmond, Virginia. The position provides a dependable fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and schedule. The employee may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, potentially increasing hours up to 40 per week, with the option to scale back.

The listed pay rate is $18.10 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Thursday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM. The role involves providing customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. It also involves responding calmly to incidents and conducting regular and random patrols. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with alarm panels.
• Experience with access control and badge systems.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Possession of a guard card or license.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
