Security Officer Full Time Access Control Monitor
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Access Control Officer for an automotive manufacturing location in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, greeting visitors, and maintaining accurate visitor and access records using computer or tablet systems. The role requires a visible, professional presence to help deter incidents and support a welcoming environment. The position is scheduled Tuesday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and pays $15.75 per hour. Duties include following site-specific security procedures and access requirements, responding to incidents, conducting patrols, and documenting access and incidents. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control requirements, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Monitor and control access to the automotive manufacturing location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and following site-specific entry and exit procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Maintain accurate access logs, visitor records, and incident documentation in accordance with site-specific policies.
