Security Officer Full Time Access Control
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Access Control Security Officer for a residential community in Palm City, Florida. The officer will manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and provide courteous assistance to residents, guests, vendors, and delivery personnel. The role involves following site-specific access-control procedures and property policies, conducting patrols, responding to concerns and incidents, and communicating observations to leadership and designated site contacts. The scheduled hours are 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Pay is $18.04 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel while following access-control procedures, property policies, and emergency-response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct authorized guests according to community procedures.
- Respond calmly and professionally to resident concerns, incidents, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and access-control issues to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
