About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for mall patrol in Nottingham, Maryland. The officer will safeguard clients at a retail and mall location by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and providing customer service to guests, tenants, and visitors. The role calls for professional communication, teamwork, reliability, integrity, and a caring, people-first approach. The position pays $18.70 per hour. The listed schedule is 3:00 PM–11:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff while following site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and policy violations.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
