About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location in New York, NY, you will safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and clients by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and helping provide a welcoming environment. The position emphasizes customer service, clear communication, integrity, and teamwork. You will follow site-specific procedures and policies, respond to incidents and emergencies, monitor activity, and document observations and daily work.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and others by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, following protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, staff, and vehicle activity; report unusual conditions, suspicious activity, and security concerns to site leadership and/or emergency personnel.
Accurately document incidents, patrol observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and designated site contacts.
