About The Position

As a Security Officer supporting a financial institution location in Long Beach, California, you will safeguard the client by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service and clear communication. You will help maintain a welcoming environment, report concerns, and work collaboratively with site personnel. The role is full time and pays $22.00 per hour. Scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established problem-solving protocols and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter.
Monitor access points and activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized access and report suspicious activity.
Document daily activities, incidents, and observations according to site-specific procedures.
