About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to perform access control at a secured residential condominium community in Longboat Key, Florida. The officer will monitor entry points, check credentials, verify authorized access according to site post orders, greet residents and visitors, and communicate with property staff. The role includes maintaining records and conducting patrols to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and vendors while following access-control procedures and site-specific policies, and assist with emergency response when appropriate.
Monitor community access points and verify authorization for people, vehicles, deliveries, and service personnel.
Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and vehicle access records in accordance with site procedures.
Respond calmly and constructively to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas, common areas, parking locations, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
