About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Incident Observation in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a government social services location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, common areas, grounds, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and resident activity, verify authorization when required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications, and maintain a professional presence while treating all individuals with dignity and respect.
