Security Officer - Residential Healthcare Facility

About The Position

The Security Officer serves as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare rehabilitation setting. The role monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supports a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The officer provides customer service, communicates professionally, and responds to routine security needs with integrity, teamwork, and care. This is a part-time position scheduled Friday through Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, paying $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the healthcare facility, resident areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry when required, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
Accurately document incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security concerns, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
