About The Position

The Healthcare Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises, controlling access, and patrolling a variety of locations. The officer preserves order by enforcing regulations and directives for client sites concerning personnel, visitors, and the area. The role involves conflict resolution and de-escalation, frequent interaction with client employees and guests, identifying and reporting safety issues or suspicious activity, following post orders, completing assigned rounds, providing customer service and information, using technology devices throughout the shift, and conducting property tours. The officer may also carry out other tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.

The position is based in Ottumwa, Iowa, and pays $20.00 per hour. Candidates must be willing to undergo pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and background investigation; additional background investigation may be required at the client's request. CPR and AED certifications are required.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Above-average computer and technology skills.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant throughout the shift.
• Professional demeanor.
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid, effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
• Willingness to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including a drug screen and background investigation; additional background investigation may be required per client request.
• CPR and AED certifications.
