About The Position

DSI Security Services is hiring Healthcare Security Officers in Birmingham, Alabama. The role provides general security duties to help maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees. Officers promote safety by observing, correcting, and reporting hazards; follow DSI and client requirements, including post instructions; and participate in training on general safety procedures and DSI’s safety manual. Officers interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public. The position involves routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and working in all weather conditions. The posted pay is $13–$14 per hour. First, second, third, and weekend shifts are available. Required screenings include criminal background, motor vehicle, and drug checks.

Requirements

Customer-service orientation and strong interpersonal skills.
Basic to intermediate computer skills.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Ability to perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting.
Must be at least 21 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid state driver’s license.
Military or law enforcement background, or a minimum of 5 years of verifiable security experience.
Reliable means of transportation and communication.
Must pass required criminal background, motor vehicle, and drug screenings.
