About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to support a logistics and distribution location in Collierville, Tennessee. The officer will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. The role supports a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and an agile approach. The schedule is Thursday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.94 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas in accordance with site requirements.
Control vehicle and pedestrian access at gates, docks, and restricted areas; document arrivals, departures, and unusual activity according to established procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, and promptly report observations to appropriate contacts.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading zones to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
