Security Officer Part Time - Entry Control

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an entry-control assignment at a manufacturing and industrial location in Spokane, Washington. The officer will help safeguard the site by managing entry points, verifying access credentials, monitoring activity, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. A visible presence and routine checks help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. The role is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and pays $18.73 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on state and local laws and may need to be met before employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency-response activities.
Control facility access by verifying identification and authorization, issuing and retrieving visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
Monitor access points, gates, and alarm or camera systems; report unusual activity, access issues, and policy violations according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas, production-adjacent spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access.
