About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Junction City, Kansas, you will help safeguard a food and beverage production location by managing entry points, verifying credentials, greeting visitors, and monitoring access activity. You will communicate professionally with employees, contractors, guests, and drivers while helping deter security-related incidents. The role involves following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities, and contributing to a secure, orderly environment. The scheduled hours are Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.64 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-control logs.
Screen and direct inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, coordinate with receiving and shipping personnel, and help maintain orderly access to loading, delivery, and restricted areas.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, perimeter areas, parking locations, and access points to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
