About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to screen personnel, visitors, and materials at a logistics and distribution location in Canal Winchester, Ohio. The officer helps maintain a secure environment by following site procedures, maintaining a professional presence, identifying and communicating potential security concerns, and providing customer service. The position pays $21.09 per hour and is scheduled Thursday through Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel according to site access requirements and applicable procedures.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
