About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer serving as a screener at a logistics and distribution location in Canal Winchester, Ohio, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening personnel and visitors, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and support smooth operations. The position is scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.09 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Screen employees, visitors, drivers, vehicles, packages, and freight according to site procedures and access requirements.
Verify identification, shipping documentation, and authorized access before allowing entry to restricted areas.
Monitor screening points and report unusual activity, access concerns, and policy violations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach, and complete required reports.
