About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Visitor Screening in El Paso, Texas, serving a healthcare location. The officer will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and professionally addressing security-related concerns. The posted pay rate is $15.25 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM; Saturday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM; and Sunday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and patients by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency-response activities.
Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access records.
Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations; escalate concerns to appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, restricted locations, parking areas, and the perimeter.
Communicate professionally with diverse individuals, provide directions and assistance, and document incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports.
