About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Eden, North Carolina, you will help safeguard a logistics and distribution location by managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring activity, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, clear communication, and a visible presence to help deter incidents. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $13.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor and control entry and exit points for personnel, commercial vehicles, deliveries, and visitors; verify credentials and maintain required access records.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control issues, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as needed.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, visitor logs, vehicle logs, and incident documentation according to site-specific requirements.
