About The Position

As a Security Officer Visitor Screening in Hayward, California, you will help safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will screen individuals and items, monitor access points, and report security-related concerns while providing professional customer service to visitors and team members. The role supports safe, smooth site operations through teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

This is a full-time position paying $19.95 per hour. The scheduled hours are Wednesday and Thursday, 1:30 p.m.–10:00 p.m., and Friday through Sunday, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to applicable state and local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and team members by following site-specific screening procedures, policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and vehicles entering designated areas according to site procedures and access requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, delivery documentation, and authorization for entry into restricted areas.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, prohibited items, and critical situations; document and report observations promptly according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, and the surrounding business perimeter.
