Security Officer Full Time - Aerospace Company
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for an aerospace and defense manufacturing location in San Diego, California. The officer will safeguard the site by managing access points, verifying credentials and authorizations, monitoring access activity and security equipment, and providing professional customer service. The role requires clear communication, attention to detail, and a visible security presence. The position is scheduled Monday and Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
- Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, authorizations, visitor registrations, and delivery documentation.
- Monitor entry points, access control systems, alarms, and surveillance equipment, and report irregularities or access concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in accordance with post orders and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facility and production areas, the exterior perimeter, parking areas, and restricted access points.
