About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Dayton, New Jersey, for a logistics and distribution location. The role focuses on access control, badge and visitor procedures, monitoring activity, and providing customer service and clear communication. The officer helps deter incidents and support smooth daily operations while working as part of a team. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $19.68 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access-control and badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency-response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-control records.
Screen and direct delivery drivers, vendors, and contractors according to site procedures, coordinating authorized access to loading, receiving, and distribution areas.
Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
