About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer to serve at a financial institution location in New York, NY. The role involves conducting routine and random patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting a welcoming environment, and providing customer service and clear communication. The officer will respond professionally to concerns, follow site-specific security procedures, and document activity. The schedule is Monday and Thursday from 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM, and Friday through Sunday from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The pay rate is $20.95–$21.95 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a financial services location while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials according to site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, exterior, and perimeter to identify irregular conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Help maintain a professional, orderly environment and report security concerns, hazards, and maintenance issues to site leadership.
