About The Position
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver Checkpoint Sequencing in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including financial institutions. At a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, paying $28.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screen as conditions of employment, to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license, required for driving positions and subject to Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Nice To Haves
- A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- Access control and badge experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.
