Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver - Financial Company
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol driver to serve and safeguard a financial institution in New York, NY. The officer conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible security presence, and provides customer service and communication. The driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, and Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM. The pay rate is $27.00–$28.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.
Requirements
- Supervisory experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facility and lobby areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security concerns.
- Monitor access, verify visitor authorization according to site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and activity records.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and follow escalation procedures.
- Maintain a professional presence while helping deter unauthorized access, theft, and disruptive behavior.
