About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer to serve at a financial institution in New York, NY. The role focuses on safeguarding the site through access monitoring, badge and visitor access support, routine patrols, and a visible security presence. The officer will provide customer service and communicate clearly while following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal policies. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, and Saturday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM. Pay is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and restricted areas; verify credentials and report unauthorized access concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document observations.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
Complete activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and in accordance with company and site-specific policies.
