About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a government transportation location in Richmond, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard the site through routine patrols, a visible security presence, observation and reporting, and customer service. The position offers access to Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. The schedule is Friday and Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Pay is $17.60 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor and report unusual conditions, suspicious activity, and security-related concerns in accordance with site policies and applicable government facility procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Maintain accurate logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation, and communicate professionally with site representatives and the public.
