About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Seattle, Washington. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, allowing them to increase their hours, potentially up to 40 hours per week, and later scale back. The posted pay rate is $23.72 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, 6:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. The position requires a TSA-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

Requirements

• Possess a TSA-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail and mall areas, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and monitoring security-related systems according to site requirements.
