About The Position

The Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver with Active Clearance serves and safeguards clients at an aerospace and defense location in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role provides customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors; conducts routine and random unarmed patrols; monitors restricted-area access; and responds to incidents and alarms. The position requires a valid driver’s license and an active DoD Secret Clearance. This is a full-time position paying $23.04 per hour. The posted schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts or emergency responders.
Help deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity through a professional presence, observation, and timely reporting.
