About The Position

As a Security Officer in a full-time gate position at a logistics and distribution location in Cudahy, Wisconsin, you will help maintain a welcoming and controlled environment. You will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, document visitor activity, conduct patrols, deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service and communication. The role includes carrying out site-specific procedures and responding to emergencies, alarms, and other critical situations.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency-response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor records, and help control access to restricted areas.
Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, gate areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
Document incidents, access activity, and irregular conditions in required reports, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
