About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to support a fast-paced logistics and distribution location in Northampton, Pennsylvania. The officer monitors assigned areas, conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicates professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. The role calls for a customer-focused approach and collaboration with a reliable team to support smooth daily operations. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, and Thursday through Friday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.44 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailers, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter.
Monitor facility access and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel according to site requirements.
Document incidents, observations, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
