About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for gate operations at a logistics and distribution location in Wyoming, Michigan. The position provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that schedule. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, offering flexibility to increase or reduce hours. The role can provide a path toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

The scheduled shift is Saturday, 10:00 PM–8:00 AM. The pay rate is $16.53 per hour. The officer provides customer service and performs site security procedures, access control, traffic monitoring, patrols, incident response, and documentation.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Control facility access by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate access records.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic at gates, docks, and restricted areas to deter unauthorized access and support orderly operations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including the business perimeter, to identify and report security-related concerns.
