About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for gate security at a manufacturing and industrial location in Sweetwater, Texas. The role provides a designated weekly anchor shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment, and the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Employees may work up to 40 hours per week by picking up shifts and may scale back when needed. The position pays $18.50 per hour, with weekly pay. The listed schedule is Wednesday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, site policies, and emergency responses. Duties include monitoring and controlling access, checking credentials, issuing visitor passes as directed, keeping entry and exit records, responding to incidents and alarms, and conducting patrols. Conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• May need to meet state or local licensing requirements before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
• Commitment to the assigned site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a manufacturing and industrial location; verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Control vehicle, employee, contractor, and delivery access according to site requirements, escalating unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
