About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned government site in Atlanta, Georgia. The role provides a designated weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, plus the option to claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform. Additional hours may be worked across multiple sites, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back as needed. The position pays $17.50 per hour and is scheduled Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service and performs site-specific security procedures, unarmed patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and reporting. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on applicable background investigation and drug screening requirements. State or local licensing may also be required.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required prior to employment, subject to applicable requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry under site policies, maintaining a professional presence and directing visitors as appropriate.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities in clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.
