Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Driver Patrol Property Checks
About The Position
As a part-time unarmed Security Officer for a retail and mall location in Syracuse, New York, you will help safeguard clients and provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees. The role includes driving and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring activity, responding to incidents, and reporting security-related concerns. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position. The scheduled shifts are Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.75 per hour. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- A state-, county-, or city-issued security license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of retail common areas, parking lots, garages, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
- Respond professionally to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events, following site procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location.
- Report suspicious behavior, property concerns, hazards, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports and daily activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken.
