About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Overnight Security Officer to help provide a safe environment for guests and associates through clear communication, patrols, confidentiality, and knowledge of company policies and procedures. The role involves interacting with guests and associates, answering resort questions, conducting patrols, and enforcing company policy and local law. The position is described as an hourly wage role. As part of the leadership team, the Security Officer is expected to embody Kalahari’s Promise to Lead with Love by guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while helping deliver extraordinary guest experiences. The officer reports to the shift supervisor and/or manager-on-duty for shift check-in and briefing.

Requirements

General working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws.
CPR certification.
A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.

Nice To Haves

Previous law enforcement and/or security investigations experience is preferred.
Hotel or resort experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide security for Kalahari property, enforce laws and company policies, and deter illegal activities by city, state, and federal violators.
Maintain proper operation of security equipment and ensure hotel security standards are met.
Check in with the shift supervisor and/or manager-on-duty upon arrival.
Review security logs and reports daily.
Receive a briefing from the dispatching officer being replaced about incidents from the previous shift and areas where services may be needed.
Review current complaints that have not been answered.
Interact with guests and associates, conduct patrols, answer resort questions, and enforce company policy and local law.
