About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer to support a retail and mall location in Richmond, Virginia. The role involves driving patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, helping deter incidents, assisting visitors and tenants, and communicating observations clearly. The position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.25 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and clients by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, business spaces, and the property perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, property concerns, maintenance hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor guidance, and traffic or parking-related support as assigned.
