About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer in Shakopee, Minnesota, at an assigned site. The position provides a reliable weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and schedule. In addition to the fixed shift, officers may claim extra shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the option to increase hours up to 40 per week or scale back. The role is presented as a flexible way to supplement income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward full-time employment.

The officer provides customer service and performs security-related duties at the assigned location, including patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and reporting. The stated pay rate is $20.21 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, loading areas, and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures; report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response activities and notification protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports about patrols, incidents, observations, and security concerns, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
