About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Report Preparation in San Jose, California, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including financial institutions. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, provide professional customer service and communication, support a welcoming environment, respond to security-related concerns, and document activities. The role is full-time and pays $23.95 per hour.

The listed schedule is Monday 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, Friday 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Saturday 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, and Sunday 2:00 PM–10:30 PM.

Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the financial institution, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unusual activity or policy concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document observations according to site requirements.
• Help deter unauthorized access, theft, and disruptive activity through a professional presence, observation, and timely reporting.
