About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to provide patrol and customer service at a college campus in Castle Hayne, North Carolina. The role safeguards the campus community by maintaining a visible presence, conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and supporting a welcoming learning environment. The position involves driving and interaction with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

The scheduled shifts are Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, assisting with visitor direction, event support, and traffic-related needs as assigned.
• Accurately document observations, incidents, and policy violations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
